Social Media Specialist

GYK Antler is looking for a Social Media Specialist. A media professional who possesses a solid understanding of the ever-changing social landscape. This person has a grasp on how social media and influencer marketing works, how to engage consumers through digital channels and, ideally, has some hands-on experience managing social media communities for businesses or brands. Furthermore, the Social Media Specialist has a visible passion for media strategy, all forms of digital media, and uses social platforms regularly in their daily routine. They are excited to learn and become an expert in technology platforms and emerging channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, analytical, reliable, and accountable
  • Develop, implement, and manage our client’s social media strategies
  • Define most important social media KPIs to achieve client business goals
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign; understand the necessary tracking nuances of the channel
  • Use social media marketing tools to guide strategic approach
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
  • Develop advanced audience segments and A/B tests
  • Understand the mechanics of 1st party data integration through platforms such as LiveRamp
  • Work collaboratively with the integrated media team to support the development and execution of media plans
  • Understand the pros and cons of each digital media type and how that relates to individual client strategies and traditional media tactics planned by your peers
  • Collaborate with account, production, web, and media analytics teams
  • Manage the scheduling and inputs of organic content on social channels
  • As needed, manage community management related tasks
  • Strategize user-generated content ideas for various clients
  • Upload sponsored ads on Facebook, Instagram, Snap, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube
  • Identify relevant TikTok content creators and applicable strategies for user engagement
  • Monitor, analyze, optimize, and educate based on campaign performance with recommendations on audience, targeting and creative shifts
  • Provide detailed reporting, analysis and recommendations
  • Management of smaller media accounts with minimal supervision
  • Must embrace uncertainty and change and thrive on the challenge of doing something new
  • Maintain the agency’s core values and professional standards and provide leadership to junior team members
  • Be positive, flexible, and curious

SKILLS

  • 3-4+ years of social media proficiency
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge across social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube/Google suite)
  • Knowledge of influencer discovery platforms (e.g., AspireIQ) is a plus
  • Ability to maintain and meet client deadlines
  • Work as a team player with employees at all levels
