GYK Antler’s Blank Canvas Program Featured on Chronicle WCVB-TV

Our Blank Canvas program was featured in Chronicle’s “For The Kids” segment, which highlights programs and organizations that are making a difficult year brighter for children in the greater Boston area. Created in partnership with Building Impact, YORK Athletics Mfg. and Boston International Newcomers Academy (Boston Public Schools), Blank Canvas engages diverse and underserved high school-aged students and provides education and access to creative-led career paths through a fun, approachable sneaker design contest. Each student is paired with a GYK mentor who helps them every step of the way and the finished designs were incredible to say the least. There were winners across four categories but at the end of the day, everyone won. Relationships with these students will continue in the months ahead with additional professional development opportunities!
